bike rally 2007 – Toronto to Montreal

April 8, 2007

Every year, hundreds of riders accompanied by a crew of volunteers cycle over 600 km from Toronto to Montreal in support for men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS. The Friends For Life Bike Rally is the largest annual fund-raiser for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation and has been a huge success since it began nine years ago. This year’s Bike Rally goal is to raise 1 million dollars and we are proud to actively participate in this fund-raising effort.

There are a number of reasons why Mark and I embarked on this journey. First and foremost, it’s to give back to the community by raising money for the Toronto PWA to enable their continued support of those people living with HIV and AIDS. Secondly, it presents us with a challenge that we can conquer together. Thirdly, provides us with the opportunity to meet new friends through the teamwork and camaraderie of the event.

This blog is a place for us to share our journey with you from preparation and training through our fund raising efforts to the triumph and conclusion in Montreal.
